Lawrence ~ Senior Photography ~

When Lawrence and I started brainstorming on a location for his shoot I kept trying to come up with somewhere colorful and fun to match his personality. I just so happened to remember the State Fair was going on. Lawrence jumped at the idea and off we went yesterday on a fun filled adventure. We had a blast together and the day was even ended with a turkey leg and funnel cake. How can you beat that kind of senior session!?! Check out the awesomeness for yourself!

Sage Emory ~ Murfreesboro Newborn Photography ~

This is Sage! :) His mom is a beekeeper, his dad a fisherman, and he is a future rockstar! Cyn and Mike are both great friends of mine and I adore that I got to photograph their little blessing. Although Sage refused to sleep, we had fun hanging out while we tried and tried and tried. :) Thanks for being such troopers guys. I believe you are going to have one strong-willed child on your hands. :) Enjoy the sneak peek of this precious little baby!

Picture Perfect Friday

Greetings from my new location! I just wrapped up a client meeting and I have to say I am feeling very much at home here in the new spot. I just booked a lovely March couple and I have several meetings on the books for next week. The excitement is building and so are some ideas! So exciting!! I captured some early morning light on my drive to Bell Buckle last week. 

We have made progress and I picked up my signs today. We plan to hang them over the weekend. Stay tuned for a picture of the complete set up! 

Annie Louise turns 1 !!!! ~ Murfreesboro Baby Photography ~

I cannot believe it has been a year already! Time really does fly by with these little ones' first years. I have had an absolute blast working with Annie and her family. We have so much fun together, and they always have the most creative ideas and props to add to the session. I will admit that I did a little begging yesterday for the photo sessions of Miss Annie to continue. After viewing the images from yesterday's shoot I will admit that I plan to do A LOT more begging! I simply do NOT want this first year to end and you will see for yourself how absolutely A-DOR-A-BLE this little lady is!

Annie, Lena (her mom), Shelia (her grandmother), and her Aunt Katie met me yesterday afternoon in downtown Bell Buckle. I love love love that town! It is so super quaint and cute! I meet the most wonderful down-home loving and trusting people every time I'm there. It reminds me of my hometown. We lost the sun when we arrived, but found tons of cute places to shoot. So... you can't have a year session without CAKE! You will notice there is a lot of cake missing in the final picture. In case you are wondering if Miss Annie managed to gobble down that much cake.. I will guiltily admit that she had four willing "helpers" encouraging her to dig in. I don't know about you, but I LOVE shoots that end with strawberry cake!

Ava ~ Murfreesboro Baby Photography ~

Ava is already 4 months old! She didn't want to give us too many smiles, but the session went great. Ava and her parents have a beautiful old farm house located in Readyville. The land is gorgeous and they have a super cool old building that sits on the property. It made for a great backdrop and Ava's grandparents, who are antique dealers, were so kind to bring over a couple of props for us to use. Check out this lovely southern style shoot!

NEW NAME & NEW LOCATION!!!!!

A few new and exciting changes are happening with Joy Dement Photography! The first is a NAME CHANGE! Most you of know I recently got married and after much deliberation I have decided to change my business name to my married name. Now Introducing...

The second exciting announcement is LOCATION!!!

I am beyond excited to announce that I will have a space on the square! You will be able to find Joy Chambers Photography in the building that houses Kerried Away Couture and Paige's Pantry. I will have an area in their store that will allow for client meetings, product display, and studio space. Both businesses are owned and operated by fantastic women and I am so excited to be connected with the two. I am looking forward to all the new and exciting things that will take place with this step. Truly, I am blessed beyond measure with great family, friends, and clients. I thank you all for the love and support that has made this step possible. Stay tuned for next weeks Picture Perfect Friday that will be documenting the big move.
